THE STORY OF JC DANCE STUDIO
Jasmine began her dance training at age three with Janice Kocjan, ARAD, at The Dancespace. She completed 12 years of progressive levels in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and examination classical ballet program. She has performed leading roles in many Dancespace ballet productions.  Jasmine was instilled with an enduring love of dance in all forms.  JC Dance Studio is an extension of the dance community built by Jan Kocjan for so many years. We hope to continue to grow our dance program to benefit the Page community and its wonderful little dancers. The next step in our evolution will be to perform grand ballets like "The Nutcracker" on the Cultural Arts stage.

AMANDA HAMMOND
Tap Instructor
Amanda began ballet classes at the age of Three.  She later transitioned to clogging where she took classes for four years. Amanda performed as a jazz dancer on the Twisters and in musical productions in high school. She performed Irish step to the live music of Amada in college.   Today Amanda is putting her love of dance, music, and step into creating opportunities for Page and surrounding area youth to learn and perform tap dancing. The mother of boy-girl twins, Amanda is passionate about providing opportunities for boys to receive strength, agility, and confidence through dance. Amanda will be offering beginner's tap classes for boys designed to appeal to the cool dudes in our community!
JASMINE CASTRO
Ballet, Jazz & contemporary modern Instructor
Jasmine has choreographed more than 100 pieces for The Dancespace over the last two decades and taught several different age groups. Jasmine was a member of the dance company Inspiritus and performed in numerous dance concerts and ballets. Today she continues teaching and choreographing for the dancers in her community.
